The ACWA is a short-term focused program meant to introduce participants to airport ground services. This program's syllabus includes important topics like the basics of aviation, hospitality essentials, customer service, grooming and personality development, check-in, soft skills for interview preparation, etc.
This part presents a tour of the aviation industry, covering its principal sectors, the major airlines, and their activities. You'll learn about airport functions, regulations, and the roles of different aviation professionals.
To deliver a good customer experience, it is essential to understand what hospitality in aviation means. This module covers how to handle passengers with professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail.
You will be confronted with different ground services such as passenger handling, baggage handling, ramp services, and aircraft servicing, etc. Training will also address safety protocols and airport security measures.
Understand how to communicate well with customers, address their issues, and offer first class service. This module emphasizes professional conduct, patience, and quick-thinking during high-pressure situations.
Airport retail plays a crucial role in enhancing passenger experience, offering both domestic and international shopping options. This module explores how airport retail counters operate, how to engage with passengers regarding different products, and the techniques to effectively assist and persuade customers in their purchasing decisions.
First impressions matter, and this section focuses on how to present yourself professionally. Get to know the appropriate grooming, body language and etiquette based on industry norms.
You will also get hands-on experience in the process of check-in, such as document verification, baggage handling, and dealing with passenger queries on both departures and arrivals.
Improve your soft skills (e.g., effective communication, teamwork, adaptability) which are important to work in a fast-changing environment such as airport.
This module offers tips on how to write a powerful CV suitable to work in aerospace. You will also learn how to showcase the skills, experience, and abilities that will otherwise make you unique to employers./p>
The best way to prepare for job interviews is through mock interviews and tips on how to answer frequently asked questions. The emphasis will be on how to present oneself with poise and authority.
This section addresses a selection of contributory skills, including problem-solving, time management, and ways to manage stress in the airport environment.
High school graduate or diploma holders with an inclination toward aviation and availability of proficiency in basic English with a recommendation of strong communication skills can apply. No prior aviation experience is required.
